• expanding research in foundational and authentic doctrinal issues presented in the qur’an and the prophetic tradition;

• training theologians and specialists in theological matters;

• re-examining and re-reading islamic theology on the basis of both reason and revelation (revelatory sources);

• explaining and organizing doctrinal beliefs found in the qur’an and tradition in a language suitable for the contemporary world;

• presenting a structured doctrinal system based on the theological teachings found in the revelatory tradition
